What is MPIN?

MPIN is a type of code. This is the same as the four digits of ATM PIN (6 digits in some banks). Just as you have to enter the PIN code every time you use an ATM, you have to put an M-PIN while doing transactions with Mobile Banking, USSD Banking, and UPI apps. You can use it only while doing transactions from your mobile. This secures transactions from mobile banking, USSD banking and UPI with your account.

Why M-PIN  is Necessary.

There is a need for two levels of protection for transactions from the bank. The way you deal with an ATM, the first level of security is your ATM and the second level of security is your ATM PIN. Unless anyone has these two, he can not deal with your account.
